In The News
On Saturday, July 25th, Midwest Wooden Toys, LLC launched our very first Oakwood Derby inside our property on 42nd Street in Clear Lake. The event was supported by 16 kids and nearly 30 of their parents, grandparents and friends. It was a wonderful success!
MWT supplied each participant a free wooden race car, a box of dry erase markers to decorate it with, a participation ribbon, a coupon for a free ice cream cone at Briggs Lake General Store after the race and trophies for the first, second and third place winners.
First place was won by Collin Hanson, second place was won by Luke Reineke and third place by brother, Cade Reineke. They were a happy trio.
After the race, every child that attended the event received a free wooden toy car when they were leaving.
The event could not have been made possible without all of our volunteers and with the support and help of our sponsors:
Briggs Lake General Store, Clear Lake Lions Club, Commander Ben Zawacki of the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, Travis William’s State Farm Insurance, and Scout Troop 94 in Clear Lake, specifically, Don Wade, and Brad Steckleberg.
It is our intension to have this become an annual event for the community. Besides this event, we supply the Palmer Day committee an ample supply of our toys for the Palmer Day games for the kids.

Today we received an incredible gift 600 handmade toy cars from Gary & Mona at Midwest Wooden Toys! These cars will go to kids we meet in difficult moments, giving them something to hold and smile about. These small wooden cars will make a big difference for the little ones we serve.
